So were in the break for Day 5 and I've got to say there have been some great matches and some really surprising victories.
Nulli Secunda vs Black Legion I didn't manage to catch as the stream started abit earlier so no real thoughts on that match but the Nulli win will give them some good moral while their are loosing their space to Test.
HUN Reloaded vs Choke Point was a good fight and HUN winning was a def for me and that's how it turned out really the triple Vargur set up from HUN was really strong and Choke points triple Gila and Oracle set up just couldn't match the set up.
Fatal Ascension vs Agony Empire was a kind of boring fight, Fatal bringing a rush team and Agony bring a immensely heavy ECM team, Fatal was unable to lock until near the end then a sabre was able to lock up one of Agony's Griffin and finish it off.
The G0dfathers vs Dark Taboo was a fight that I for one was betting on The G0dfathers and that's how it ended up. Dark Taboo lost a cyclone early to a disconnect putting them at a immediate disadvantage. In the end The G0dfathers took a convincing win.
Mildly Intoxicated vs Alpha Volley Union was for me a weird fight Mildly Intoxicated brought a old fashion with a Minmitar rush team and Alpha brought well what seems to be their flag ship and a bunch of ships they had hanging around. The Bhaalgorn flag ship was a fail fit in itself. If you can bring officer mods and such use them don't stay on T2 and faction fit some things, flag ships for me should be a ship where you spend a chunk of your alliance wallet fitting.
Northern Coalition. vs Test Alliance Please Ignore was a great match in my eyes Test bringing dual Windicators against NC.'s dual Loki's and NC. got obliterated a early Hurricane loss from NC. really sealed their fate with the Windicators obliterating the ships one at a time. The Test pilots should however have stuck abit further from their targets with them sitting at 0 even the blasters have abit of trouble tracking.
Goonswarm Federation vs FEARLESS. was the best match I had yet seen. Goons was my favourite but for me they made a drastic mistake of not dropping the drones early enough. I can see the reason of waiting to drop them at the centre but while loosing their frigs early they really needed to drop the sentry's and get going from there but Goons definitely put up a good fight but it just wasn't good enough.
Verge of Collapse vs Capital Punishment. was a fight which I didn't know how it would play out. The Verge team with their Tengus and Capital with their Machariel and Sleipnir's but the Verge Tengu's just couldn't handle the Minmitar team and lost heavily.
And that wraps up the first half with the second half now on I will put up another post once the second half has completed.

ATX and my early thoughts
So I have been watching the Alliance Tournament vids on Youtube due to me being away both weekends and I have got to say this years final should be a good one. Alot of big names have already been knocked out and alot of the lesser known alliances are still in meaning that we could very well have a final of alliances that were barely known.
This weekend is the only weekend that I can actually watch any of the fight live so I will post again sometime this weekend with my thought of some of this weekends fights which should be good ones.
Also going to some of the complaints of people on the forums saying there shouldn't be the deal going on in local and such and that is to be honest rubbish, deals is part of this game and should happen, and as CCP does it should be endorsed as the deals are one bit of this magnificent game.
This must be the shortest post ive yet to have made. hehe

Thinking about eve and the Community
So at the current moment I am down to one account and that is because I haven't plexed them this month. Now this isn't because of anything CCP has done in fact 4 of the accounts ran out even before Inferno was released. The reason my accounts have run out is that I have simply no time to be on and get the 3.5 bill each month to keep the accounts alive. I was having to spend 10 hours a day minimum mining to keep the accounts open and with exams coming up that cant happen. I may be returning after the exams but I have yet to decide. This is the first time in nearly 3 years that my accounts have lapsed and it feels weird. True I wouldn't be playing at the current moment anyway due to the fact that my main pc is dead after the hard drive fried itself, so my accounts would probally have lapsed anyway.
Ive got to say even with my accounts lapsed and at the current moment not a certain of me returning, I still read the forums, evenews 24, twitter (where half of the people I follow has something to do with eve) and still listening to the podcasts and this I see is a great thing of this community that even after I stop playing the game I still follow much of the community.
Ive got to say that there are things pulling me away from starting eve again after the exams, ive spent countless hours playing this game and countless pounds before I started plexing the accounts. I enjoy mining and have tried to play other types of gameplay in eve and have simply not enjoyed it. Though I would love to move back to null if I was to come back to eve, the main problem I have is isk and buying plexs, I need to make the isk each month to be able to pay for the accounts and moving and setting up in null takes time and this is time I'm not making isk so the accounts get tight, and also if I was mining in null I would need to transport minerals to high sec and currently I have no way of doing this which is a major problem for me too. If I was to finally move to null I think I would like to have 2-3 months worth of game time sat on each account so that I can have a buffer for the accounts when I move I can have abit of time to set up and get comfy in null before my account time starts getting scarce.
I have still one of my spare pcs that can run eve and that I used to log on the last remaining account I have and was able to use the new unified inventory and ive got to say its nothing near as bad as people on the forums are saying. Many people on the forums have said its the worst thing since Incarna (which I personally liked but needed more). People have been asking for it to be reverted and in my eyes this would be the worst thing ccp could do. The reason for this unified inventory change was to fix up old code which needed changing and this is important. A rollback is not a good idea even is a minority of the community doesnt like it this needed to happen and has happen so people need to HTFU.
Ive also seen recently this thread which shows the goons are extending hulkageddon indefinitely. Now for me who has mined for the majority of 3 years and has always mined throughout hulkageddon I don't find this as a problem but for the people who whine about this somethings wrong, the problem is that eve is dangerous and people can get blown up anywhere. At least now people don't have to worry about meta-gaming as hulkageddon is happening all the time.
Right that puts the end of today's ramblings. It may be abit hard to read as I'm sat here on my laptop listening to Lost in EVE, so Ive got to say I'm kinda distracted. All this post is about is I wanted to get some things off my chest

Fanfest and all the complaints
So I've been reading through General Discussion as usual, its what I do each morning. And the amount of people who have started complaining about what the Mitanni said in the Alliance Panel, which I did watch live on EVE TV, is staggering. There was one thread posted vaguely about it before the results for the CSM were posted and this I can accept some people would be bum hurt from it. However as the majority of the new threads were only posted AFTER the Mitanni was back in the chairman seat shows that the idiotic calls for his resignation about this is only for people to pull him out the seat.
Now I am not a Goon and have no intention to ever be one, however I do believe they are a very integral part of this game and their history goes back almost as far as the game does. What he said may have been wrong but everyone says wrong things while drunk. The Mitanni has publicly apologised and this I accept as being enough, there is no need to pull him off the seat as what he has done for the CSM helped this game no end.
Also another thing with these threads and many like them when people start raging, they always put that the community is not happy with this and that is completely wrong, SOME of the community is not happy with this and wants his resignation, SOME not all and this I feel everyone should get into their heads, just because some people do not post on the forums or some people do not express their intents does not mean they agree with you.
So that's my rant as I do get very annoyed with people like this and I believe this blog will be a mix of some of my PVP experiences and also my ranting as some of the community for being douches.

I folded and Crucible 1.1
So on the day before the 60 day trials expire, I caved in and created another account. This accounts going to be my second orca pilot, leaving my maxed out booster in the pos while I haul with this orca, some people may this this is a waste of an account but tbh I find the loss of boost while my current orca warps to the pos and back a large loss of isk as the roids could be out of range while the boost isn't on. This account is a minmitar meaning I have now got one character that trains from every faction. Two from Gallente them being my oldest two accounts getting onto nearly 3 years old, 3 Amarr pilots as I like their mining frigate as while they are training they will be making my isk through mining in 1.0 away from the rats, 1 Caldari mission running account who's account was opened last year but due to lack of funds was shut down fairly soon afterwards which as stated in the previous post was opened up again, and finally onto my newest account the Minmitar pilot who's ships I simply adore but I have never had a character for some reason or the other.
From the account perspective that's currently it and I don't see myself opening anymore any time soon. So yes tomorrow being patch day I'm getting all excited. As a number of the features being brought in are of a massive interest to me. So first of all ill start with the T2 mining link boost where the range boost given out by the Mining Foreman Link – Mining Laser Field Enhancement II boost being upped from 5 to 5.625% which will give me a nice range boost while I'm out mining. The next beautiful extra is the pos fuel blocks, which will make my life soo much easier fuelling the poses as I don't have to check if anybody else form the corp has put any more modules onto the pos and the pg and cpu have nothing to do with the fuel anymore which in my mind is a great addition. Moving onto the next extra is the new neocom which looks beautiful and I cant wait to get my hands on as many of the links on my neocom I barely ever use and there is others which I use on a daily basis. Ill post a screen shot of my neocom tomorrow showing exactly what I use. From my point these are the main 3 things that Crucible 1.1 is bringing to the game for me, the full patch notes can be found here.
That's all but does it for me today, something I want to start and have done bits of in the past is giving my own stance on the happening within new eden, this will not be locked to just high sec news and some people may think me being a high sec carebear that's all I know and that I think that the edge of high sec is where eve finishes, however I follow the going ones with null sec and so I will also be commenting on the news from there. Which also brings me onto a quick linky for myself but have produced a animated version of the nullsec sov maps and a link to the eve-o forum thread can be found here ( you do have to be logged into the forums to see that link). A link directly to the you tube channel can also be found on the right hand side.
Which also brings me to the end of today's post. Fly as you wish to fly.

Mining Mechanics Again
So after coming across this thread. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19440
I’ve had to complain at people attitudes to mining and its mechanics.
First of all, miners do not want Captcha added into the game, and as far as I believe neither do CCP.
"But it will stop the macroers". No it won’t all it will do is nark miners off so that they will stop mining. I for one do not want to have to sit there and do a Captcha on each one of my accounts, when I’m out mining.
"Well what about adding in a mini game". First of all where in EVE do you actually see mini games? So why do I want to have to play a mini game inside of EVE just so that I could mine the meagre minerals that I require to keep my accounts ticking over.
"So you want mining to keep being boring so you can chat... lol?" Written by Khun SP. Err yes mining is the one part of eve that I can sit there and talk with corpies while making ISK. Readers of the blog will know that I have lived in every part of EVE apart from in the drone regions, and have tried a large amount of ways to make ISK. However the only active way of making ISK that I have found that allows me to sit back and relax while talking to corpies and making friends. I have been in the same corp in one way or the other with the same guy from the start of my EVE career two years ago, because we became friends while mining.
"Any system that makes mining less favourable to multibox and more favourable for those who control one ship at a time will be a good thing for the mining profession as cutting down on the overall number of miners will boost the price of minerals thus making it a more profitable endeavour." written by Steven Fonulique. Now why would CCP want to get rid of a part of EVE that they actively endorse and give special offers for? The majority of multiboxers are miners, so if CCP was to make mining more difficult to multibox they would lose a large amount of accounts due to people dropping their extra accounts.

Hellmar's post
It’s been a bit since my last post, I’ve been dragged away busy resetting up Minecraft servers and also been playing Wurm-online which has a strange pull which has kept me logging in for the last month. In EVE terms for me I have started a new trial account, which I will be subbing with a plex once the trial is up and the skills are trained.
So Hellmar has posted a dev blog found Here. Although if you haven't read it where have you been. It apologises for the recent things that CCP have done and what some of the community has not liked. It also states that they have made changes to the structure of CCP, to try and fix the problems that have arisen recently with the lack of communication with the community.
What has impressed me is not the letter, I never really lost my trust in CCP, as someone who is looking at becoming a games programmer and someone who looks at the games industry from that point of view can see why CCP was doing what they were doing. They need to change to keep up with other games that are currently out there and to keep up with the games industry as a whole. The real thing that surprised me was the community. It took me till half way through page 5 till I found a post that was truly sceptical about the post and who was flaming the letter. This has brought me back from thinking that the majority of the community are complete twats, and only seem to sub to EVE to complain and whine at everything that CCP do to the game, as I have shown over the past few posts on here. Then I found the following post which reinforced my new admiration for the community of the game that I have enjoyed playing and putting my time into for the past 2 years.

If you community doesnt understand how his love of eve may have blinded him some then you dont deserve a CEO like him. I enjoy this game thoroughly. I dont view what he did as making mistakes, just as things that were not clarified. Im defensive about this game myself but patience is a SKILL in eve you must train :)
This sums up my views and is what really was needed in the thread to show to the people who were going to complain why they should just be quiet and stop complaining at every little thing CCP tries to do to improve this game and keep it up to date with the current MMOs out there to bring in new players to this fantastic game that I love.

Mining mechanics
So people have been complaining for a long time now that mining is boring and should be made more exciting, and CCP have just said "no we like it the way it is people can use the time to chat with friends and still make ISK".
Now I’ve been playing eve for 2+ years now and been mining for the majority of that time, so I can say that I know a-bit about the profession. My thoughts on the matter is that CCP is perfectly right, I like the current implementation of mining as it allows me to work on other things whilst still making ISK. I could be programming, typing up blog posts, watching a film etc. etc. The thing is it allows me to carry on making ISK in a way that I find fine while doing other things that interest me at the same time. Now some people would argue that this is bad game mechanics, that any game that makes you do other things apart from playing that game to actually enjoy playing the game is a bad thing, and I can kind of see the point of that argument however I believe that the mining mechanic currently implemented in the game should not change.
Currently mining is one of the few professions that actually scales well with having more than one account and if mining needed more interaction on each character then the miners that multi box 4,6,8,10+ accounts will simply stop mining with so many accounts which means there will be less miners meaning the prices would rise of everything in the game, now there are some people that will say that if mining wasn’t so boring that many more people would actually do it and drop the prices down, but I can’t see that there would be enough people to actually contradict the loss of the multiboxing miners.
